How to Play Turbo Soccer Cars

Controls

Drive with WASD or the arrow keys. Hold Shift or Space to burn turbo. On a phone or tablet, drag anywhere on the pitch to steer and use the on-screen BOOST button to burn turbo. Kick off and rematch are the same button.

Tips

• Aim to meet the ball with the far side of your car. The direction you are travelling when you touch it is the direction it leaves in, so approach from behind and a gentle nudge becomes a shot.
• Turbo is for arriving first, not for cruising. Half a second of boost is usually enough to win the race to the ball, and the yellow pads refill in three seconds — drive over one on your way back.
• Long shots die on the floor. The ball loses pace quickly, so a shot from your own half rarely arrives; carry it to around the halfway line and then commit.
• Turning hard bleeds your speed into sideways drift. Straighten up before you strike, or you will slide past the ball instead of hitting it.
• Do not chase the ball into your own corner. If the rival gets there first, the bounce usually sends it straight back into your net — get goal-side instead and wait for the contact.
• Watch the clock, not the scoreboard, in the last ten seconds. A single kick from the restart is often enough to change a 4–5 into a 5–5.

Sixty seconds of match time, plus a short pause at each kick-off. Full time arrives on the clock and the result screen shows the final scoreline, the number of shots you struck on the ball and how long the match ran.

Is there a two-player mode?

No. This release is a single-player match against the rival AI car. Local two-player was left out on purpose so the match stays playable with one thumb on a phone.

It is an original game developed in-house for 8204.me. Every car, pad and sound is generated procedurally in code — no third-party assets are used.
