How to Play Bubble Pop Lab

Controls

Aim by moving the pointer (or dragging your finger) — the launcher follows you. Click or tap to fire the loaded bubble. Press S (or the on-screen SWAP button) to exchange the loaded bubble with the next one in the rack. Press C (or CATALYST) to spend a full charge.

Tips

• Three is the minimum, but aim for five or more. A bigger single pop charges the catalyst far faster, and one clean cluster is worth several scrappy twos.
• The board is hung from the ceiling, so anything that loses its connection falls. Popping the single bubble holding a big cluster in place clears the whole overhang and pays out extra for every bubble that drops.
• Use the walls. A steep shot that bounces off the side rail lands in places a straight shot cannot reach, which is often the only way into an awkward corner.
• A fresh row drops every eight shots. Watch the shot counter rather than the board — if a new row will land where your bubble is heading, fire somewhere useful first.
• Save the catalyst for the wall, not for a bonus. When the field is one row off the danger line, wiping an entire colour is what reopens the middle; using it early just trims a board you were already handling.
• Swap rather than fire blind. If the loaded bubble has no useful landing, exchanging it costs nothing at all.
• Keep the pile flat. A field that has risen in one column is much harder to recover than one that is uniformly three rows from the line, even if the second has more bubbles.

Every bubble you pop fills the catalyst bar, and dropping a big overhang fills it faster. When the bar is full you can wipe an entire colour off the board in one go — the game automatically picks whichever colour has the most bubbles left, which also counts as a full clear if it was the last one.

It is an original game developed in-house for 8204.me. The bubbles, the lab backdrop and every sound are generated procedurally in code — no third-party assets are used.
