Controls

Slide the board with WASD or the arrow keys, swipe anywhere on a touch screen, or use the on-screen pad. Every slide pushes all nebula cores as far as they go in that direction, and two cores with the same number fuse into one core worth double. Press N (or the NOVA button) to spend a Nova charge.

Tips

• Pick one corner and park your biggest core there. Everything else follows from that: the board only stays workable while your top core has somewhere to grow.
• Keep two directions as your main axes and mostly ignore the other two. Sliding up and down alternately is the fastest way to scatter your board and lose the corner.
• Build a snake. Lining cores up in a descending run along the edges means each slide feeds the corner instead of fighting it.
• Setup moves beat lucky merges. Arranging two identical pairs in the same line lets one slide fuse both, and stacked merges are what push your combo multiplier up.
• Nova charges are a rescue, not a routine. Spend one when the board locks and you have no slide that changes anything — a charge clears every smallest core at once, which usually reopens the middle.
• You earn a charge at every milestone: 128, 256, 512, 1024 and 2048. Playing patiently to 128 rather than merging freely is often worth more than an early lead.
